Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies this website sets, why we use them and how you can accept, refuse or delete them.

Draft for legal review. This document is a professional template and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publication. Replace all bracketed placeholders.

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]. This policy is issued by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], trading as Axoria Marketing, and should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. It lets the site recognise your browser on later page views or visits. Cookies are widely used to keep websites working, remember preferences, measure how pages are used and deliver relevant advertising.

This policy also covers similar technologies that behave like cookies, including local storage, session storage, tracking pixels (small transparent images or scripts that report a page view or event) and software development kits embedded in third-party tools. Where we say “cookies” we mean all of these.

Cookies can be first-party (set by this website’s domain) or third-party (set by another domain, such as an analytics or advertising provider). They can be session cookies, deleted when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.

How we use cookies

As a performance marketing agency we use measurement on our own website for the same reasons we recommend it to clients: to understand which pages and channels bring visitors, which content leads to enquiries, and how the site can be improved. We also run our own advertising campaigns and use conversion tracking and remarketing tags to measure them. We use cookies for four purposes:

  • Strictly necessary: to make the website work, keep it secure, and remember your cookie choices.
  • Analytics: to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site.
  • Advertising: to measure conversions from our own ads and show relevant ads to people who have visited the site.
  • Functional: to support embedded tools such as scheduling widgets, forms and video players.

The table below lists the cookies and tags currently in use or that may be enabled on this website. Cookie names and lifetimes are set by the providers and can change; we review this list periodically. Replace or remove rows to match the tags actually deployed on the live site.

Third-party providers may combine data collected on this site with data from other sites. Their own privacy policies describe how they use it: Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Ads), Microsoft (Clarity) and Meta (Pixel) each publish a privacy policy and opt-out controls on their websites.

Consent and how we manage it

Where the law requires it, including under the EU ePrivacy rules, the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and similar legislation, we set analytics, advertising and functional cookies only after you give consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the website cannot operate without them.

Our tags are loaded through Google Tag Manager using consent mode. Until you accept a category, the tags in that category either do not fire or run in a restricted mode that sends no cookie-based identifiers. Your choices are stored in a consent cookie so they are respected on subsequent visits. You can accept all, reject all or choose categories individually, and each option is presented with equal prominence.

Consent is refreshed if we add a new category of cookie or if a set period has passed, typically [CONSENT REFRESH PERIOD, e.g. 6 or 12 months]. We keep a record of consent choices in line with our Privacy Policy.

How to change or withdraw your choices

On this website

Select “Cookie settings” in the website footer at any time to reopen the banner and change your preferences. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant tags from loading on future page views; it does not remove cookies already stored on your device, which you can delete through your browser.

In your browser

All major browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings menus, usually under “Privacy” or “Site data”. You can block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or clear cookies when the browser closes. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as forms, from working correctly. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain the steps for each browser.

Provider opt-outs

  • Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics, and ad personalisation controls in your Google account settings.
  • Meta provides ad preference controls within Facebook and Instagram account settings.
  • Microsoft provides ad settings and an opt-out for Clarity on its privacy dashboard.
  • Industry opt-out tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (US), the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EU) and Your Online Choices (UK) let you opt out of interest-based advertising from many providers at once.

Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and we are required to honour it, we treat the signal as an opt-out of advertising cookies and data sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Cookies in our client work

When we implement analytics and conversion tracking for clients, we configure it on the client’s website under the client’s own cookie policy and consent tool. This policy does not cover those websites. We recommend that every client publishes an equivalent policy and uses a consent management platform appropriate to the markets it serves.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when we add or remove tags, when providers change their cookies, or when the law changes. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the cookie banner so you can review your choices.
