Schema Markup Generator
Build valid JSON-LD structured data for 16 schema types without writing code. Fill in the form, copy the script, paste it into your page and test it. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Organization
How to add this to your website
- WordPress: paste the whole
<script>block into a Custom HTML block on the page, or into your SEO plugin's "custom schema" field (Rank Math, Yoast, SEOPress and AIOSEO all have one). For site-wide types such as Organization, add it in the theme's header via a code-snippet plugin. - Shopify / Webflow / Wix: use the custom code or "head" section of the page settings.
- Static HTML: place it anywhere inside
<head>or<body>; the position does not matter. - Re-test the live URL in the Rich Results Test, then request indexing in Search Console.
Why structured data matters more in 2026
Schema markup used to be about rich results: stars, prices and FAQs in Google’s listings. It still is, but the bigger reason to add it now is that search engines and AI answer engines (Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT search, Perplexity) use structured data to understand exactly what an entity is: which organisation published a page, who the author is, what a product costs, where a business is and when it opens. Pages with clean, accurate JSON-LD are easier to cite, easier to attribute and less likely to be misread. Google’s own guidance in 2025–2026 has also tightened: FAQ and HowTo rich results are restricted, product markup needs shipping and return details for merchant listings, and Organization markup is the source for logo, name and profile links in knowledge panels.
What this generator covers
Structured data rules that get sites penalised
Mark up only what is visible
Every FAQ answer, review, price and event date in the JSON-LD must appear on the page. Hidden or invented content is the most common reason for a manual action.
No self-serving reviews
AggregateRating on Organization or LocalBusiness must come from reviews collected and displayed on your site, not copied from Google or invented. Never rate your own business in a Review.
One entity, one page
Put Organization and WebSite on the home page, Person on author pages, Article on posts. Do not stack every type on every page.
Keep it accurate over time
Prices, availability, opening hours and dates go stale. Update the markup whenever the page changes, and remove JobPosting or Event markup once they expire.
Test, then monitor
Validate with the Rich Results Test before publishing, then watch the “Enhancements” reports in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools for errors.
Need schema across a whole site?
Templates, e-commerce catalogues and multi-location businesses need structured data generated automatically from your CMS rather than pasted page by page. Our technical SEO service builds and validates that, and a free audit will show you which pages are missing eligible markup today.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else, ask us directly.
Is the schema generator free and private?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server or stored, so you can use it for client sites and unpublished pages.
JSON-LD or Microdata?
JSON-LD. Google recommends it, it is what Bing and AI engines parse most reliably, and it stays separate from your HTML so it does not break when the design changes. This tool outputs JSON-LD only.
Where do I paste the code?
Anywhere in the page HTML, head or body. In WordPress use a Custom HTML block, your SEO plugin's custom schema field, or a code-snippet plugin for site-wide types. Then re-test the live URL.
Do FAQ and HowTo schema still work in 2026?
They remain valid schema.org types and are read by Bing, AI assistants and Google's systems for understanding content. Google stopped showing HowTo rich results in 2023 and limits FAQ rich results to authoritative government and health sites, so do not expect visible FAQ snippets on most commercial sites.
Can I add star ratings to my business?
Only if the ratings come from reviews collected and displayed on your own website. Ratings copied from Google Business Profile or third-party sites, or invented numbers, violate Google's guidelines and can trigger a manual action. The generator lets you add AggregateRating but leave it blank unless you meet that condition.
How do I check that the markup works?
Use the Validate button (copies the code and opens the Schema.org validator), then test the published URL in Google's Rich Results Test. After indexing, Search Console's Enhancements reports show any errors at scale.
Can you generate schema for my whole site?
Yes. For templated pages such as products, locations, articles and job listings we implement structured data dynamically in the theme or platform so every page is covered and stays accurate. Request a free audit to start.
